"Ouch!” I lost my balance and fell on to the ground with a loud thud.
I was one of those careful people because I had always been scared of being injured. I was walking home from school with my friend or somehow an enemy. We got bored and wanted to find something to do before we reach home. An idea hit me and I told him that we could race back to his house. We bet $2 for the person who reaches first. We counted from 3 and the race started! He was quite ahead of me and suddenly, I tripped over a branch and fell onto the ground. My knee was bleeding profusely because it hit the edge of the path. My friend did not notice me and he just keep running ahead to his house. I did not have any tissue or water with me to stop the bleeding and no one passed by me. My sock had been stained to red and my hands too, the blood felt sticky. I walked my way back home and found it hard. When my mother opened the door, she was shocked by the blood all over my leg. She helps to bandaged me and I had to rest for the next day and could not walk to school.
After this incident, I was scared of having injuries and would be more careful.
