Growth Camp 2008
Half of our class were helping up with the make-up for kaihong while the other half was preparing for the campfire item. When the make-up was done, I went to take a look at him with my friend, Both of us rolled on the floor laughing when we saw him, he was hilarious!
The campfire started at 8pm, the whole lower secondary screamed when the fire started burning. Classes started to present their campfire items and our class was the fifth to present. At the beginning, we were quite nervous but we started to have fun after that.
Sport Fiesta
"Hey, where are you?" I called my friend as we are taking taxi to the stadium together. I met with him and went to the taxi stand together.
We waited for ten minutes for the taxi as the queue was very long. When we reached the stadium, we went to meet other classmates of our class. The stadium was crowded when it is about 7.30am where we started to sing our national anthem. While we were singing, Rain started to pour heavily and the games had to be delayed.
One hour later, they decided to start the first game; soccer because the rain had stopped. We cheered for our own houses and it was really excited! After the soccer games were the running and relay competition for lower and upper secondary. After those runs, it was the parents and teacher relay; students would be joining in too.
After all these games, we total up the scores and our house went wild when the results were announced.

How Can I Make A Difference?
Global Warming is caused by many things. The causes are split up into two groups, man-made or anthropogenic causes, and natural causes. Man-made contributes most to global warming; pollution is the main cause for global warming. Burning fossil fuels is one thing that causes pollution, when fossil fuels are burned they give Global off a green house gas called CO2 which is carbon dioxide.
Natural causes are causes created by nature. One natural cause is a release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands. Methane is a greenhouse gas. A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere. Another natural cause is that the earth goes through a cycle of climate change. This climate change usually lasts about 40,000 years.
Effects that are caused by global warming would be polar icecaps melting, warmer water n more hurricanes and much more. Polar icecaps melting would cause a rise in sea level. According to the National Snow and Ice Data Centre, if all glaciers melted today the seas would rise about 230 feet. This would be how serious the sea level rises if global warming worsens. When sea level rises, it would naturally cause an increase in the number of hurricanes and an increase in number of hurricanes would also cause economic consequences as it will cause up to billion dollars of damage.
Our group is currently doing a mini project of holding a 3R poster competition for all levels. We would also be investigating all classes to find out which class has the least amount of litter in the class and we would have a reward for that too.
